Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers Takes a Plunge for the Special Olympics
February 16th, 2017 | Community Service
Special Olympics Kentucky programs do more than lift up children and adults with intellectual disabilities; they inspire us all to be the best versions of ourselves. That’s why Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers is proud to support the 2017 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Kentucky.
The concept behind the Plunge is simple. Individuals and/or organizations raise money to benefit Special Olympics Kentucky programs leading up to the event. And then, on a brisk morning in February, costumed participants (who raise at least $75) make a frigid plunge into the Ohio River. In its 19-year run, the Polar Plunge has raised more than $7.5 million for Special Olympics Kentucky programs.
This year marks our firm’s 6th Plunge and costume parade, and we’re looking to raise more money than ever before. Visit our team page to donate. As an added incentive, make your donation in the name of one of our attorneys and contribute to our “Pennies for Pies” campaign wherein the top fundraiser will be rewarded with a whipped cream pie to the face.
We hope you’ll consider donating to this incredible event and supporting Special Olympics Kentucky. Come on down to the Brown-Forman Amphitheater on February 25th to see the costumes and watch us take the plunge!
