Sam Cares’ overall goal is to assist communities in becoming stronger through commitment, compassion, and leadership. Through Sam Cares, Aguiar Injury Lawyers has been able to give back to its “backyard” communities and make a positive difference in the lives of individuals in the states of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio.
Sam Cares has partnered with many organizations, both large and small, who share the common goal of making communities stronger. Our efforts; with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation; has allowed us to help battle the horrible disease of breast cancer and to assist in providing for education and mobile screening in the greater Louisville region. Sam Cares’ annual participation in the “Polar Plunge” has given our office the opportunity to help raise money for athletes competing in the Special Olympics. Annual holiday turkey drives, through local church groups, ensure that local communities we serve have the ability to create full bellies and special holiday memories.
Sam Cares is excited about the possibility of helping your community. If you have any suggestions on how we may help build a stronger community, please contact us in the office with your ideas.
Going to the nursing home was a great experience. When the residents found out we were there to hand out presents and celebrate Christmas with them, you could see some of their eyes literally light up with excitement! The smiles we put on their face was priceless as I’m sure some of them haven't smiled or had a visitor in quite some time. We sang Christmas carols and helped them open their gifts, which they were very thankful for.
One resident, got a UofL outfit and she was extremely happy and stated she was going to look good decked out in her UofL gear for the UofL/UofK game. Another resident got a huge teddy bear and makeup, I’ll never forget the huge smile on her face! All of the residents thanked us more than once for the gifts and coming to visit them.

Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers is proud to be supporting both the fight against Cystic Fibrosis and one of our case managers, Cynthia Staab, who is participating in the CF Climb at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on November 15th, 2014 at 9:00am in Louisville, KY. We encourage everyone to show your support for Cynthia and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by donating to her fundraising campaign today!
Read below to find out more about Cystic Fibrosis and why Cynthia is so passionate about this cause.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is by far my favorite charity because my niece was diagnosed at 11 days old. The CF Climb for Life is probably my favorite event the CFF hosts. There are roughly 30,000 Americans living with Cystic Fibrosis. My niece Kalley is one of them. Those living with CF struggle every day just to breathe. On November 6th, Kalley will be 5 and she's already undergone 2 surgeries, numerous hospital stays, doctor visits, daily breathing treatments, and a long list of medications and supplements - more than most of us will endure over a lifetime!
Why do I climb? I climb for Kalley and others affected by CF. I climb so that they can have a better and longer life. I climb with hopes that one day a cure will be found. Support me by making a donation to my CF Climb fundraising campaign today! Let's make CF stand for CURE FOUND!
The CF Climb is November 15 at Papa John's Stadium. I'm climbing 3000 stairs! Also, I’d love to have you guys come out on November 15th to show your support at the event as I tackle every stair in Papa John’s Stadium to help raise awareness! Thank you everyone!!!

The Special Olympics Kentucky: 2014 Polar Plunge is just around the corner and my teeth have already begun to chatter.
Sam Aguiar as a ninja turtle at the 2013 Polar Plunge
Here at Aguiar Injury Lawyers we are all very excited to be participating in this fantastic charity event for the third consecutive year! For those of you that are unfamiliar with this particular event, please allow me a moment to enlighten you:
The Polar Plunge is a fun loving fundraiser for the bold and insane alike. For months leading up to the event, folks are asked to solicit donations in the name of charity, good sportsmanship and ill-advised ice swimming. On the big day, teams and individuals brave the elements in all sorts of fancy dress, be it Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas or a gang of the most random super heroes ever assembled (less the Wonder Twins) and they wait their turns to take the plunge.
Over the past couple of years we’ve been and seen all sorts of interesting characters and this year will be no different. This year our team will be the Aggawokeez, named and costumed loosely after the hip-hop dance troupe the Jabbawokeez, and we will once again be down at Tumbleweed waiting our turn to take the big dip with the rest of the good-hearted crazies. Come on down to Tumbleweed and join us on Saturday, March 1, 2014, you won’t be disappointed.
Our 2013 Year in Review is a snapshot of many of our firm’s accomplishments, highlighting both the growth of the firm and the stories of our community outreach activities.
We have tremendous ambitions for our firm, our customers and our community partners. We believe that we work incredibly hard and have a unique approach to meeting the needs of those who depend upon us. As a result, it’s important we take the time to reflect on our accomplishments and exciting milestones of this past year.
Aguiar Injury Lawyers’ year in review video summarizes what we believe were some of our best achievements in 2013 in addition to a little insight into the culture of our firm.
The Special Olympics, as we know, provides opportunities for those who have been challenged with some form of disability throughout their lifetimes. Special Olympics programs give these athletes the opportunity to display their courage and skill in overcoming the challenges they face and allows them to show the world their individual success stories.
The UPS Plane Pull presented by ResCare is an exciting event to help support Special Olympics athletes. On September 28th, 2013 at Atlantic Aviation we will take our turn to see if we can pull a massive 147,000-pound UPS Boeing 757 cargo plane 12 feet in the shortest time.
The event will raise money and awareness to continue to better the Special Olympics programs and will give our office the opportunity to show Louisville that Aguiar Injury Lawyers has the muscle to get the job done both in the courtroom and on the tarmac.
So come out on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 and support Aguiar Injury Lawyers, Special Olympics Kentucky and Special Olympics athletes everywhere! If you can't make it to the event but still want to show your support, visit our DemandSam.com team page where you can make a tax deductible donation.
